I was talkin to a Gunny after chow about reloading and he mentioned an old style machine I've never even heard of before. Some sort of assembly line job where you would have maybe four or five different handles or rams and a track that the rounds traveled on through the different stages. Anyone ever heard or owned such a thing?

I believe they were called a Collier type machine. Built sometimes with a single handle, sometimes a U shaped double linked one. They were built by C-H, Cougar & Hunter, and the RCBS Green Machine. When everthing is right they worked great, BUT their primer feed systems were easily subject to jams, hard to clean of priming residue and therefore had a high potential for detenations. They are best left alone for that reason.

Well, I am not surprised. I had never heard of them so I figured it was just a story made up to impress a young Lcpl. But, at least he's honost and I guess this shows his age.
