That's excellent! Hope I can do that well come Feb.  Checking traps tomorrow, it will feel good knowing every rat I pull through the ice is a 10 spot!

Bryce , great prices, wonder if any WI trappers got in the top lot of $35 each on rats.....!   Back in the 70s when rats weree going for $8  each i thought was something else and now   $35    whoa....lol...  Have been picking up rats in my underice bvr sets and  counting my chickens before they hatch i'm saying theres another two gallons of gas  ect    lol..   Say Bryce  you wouldnt want to learn how to trap bvr under ice would you??   I would let you carry the bvr out thru the alders.... really nice views this time of year.... you dont have to wear snowshoes either....... ::)

164 of those 229 were graded fall rats with 93 of them average fall rats which were caught from day one. Size was pretty good for me this year but when I try to sell locally they just hammer me about the thin furred fall rats. They offer 6-7 for those xl and up sizes. At the auction yesderday those rats sold for $11-13.50. My good winters aveaged 15 bucks.

This year I don't know what happened. There are usually a dozen rat trappers here. My phone was busy from folks that had boat houses. They said so and so who usually sets traps here got out of it and said you still trap. Ended up with a slew of rats. They went for $11.04 average. Not bad for a warm winter.
