It’s sad but people are becoming more likely to turn away and refuse to give help to those in need due to the gangs and gang activity on the streets, this is especially true in many of the larger cities. A while back while in Houston, TX, I witnessed a young man (27) beating on a young lady at a restaurant, the staff, owner or none of the other young folks moved to help, myself and another 65-70 year old were the only two to get involved and willing to provide statements to the police when they arrived, the rest of the customers said they didn’t see anything or did not want to get involved.
I feel quite confident the young lady would have suffered serious injuries had we not stepped in, No question the young man could have probably whipped both of us “OLD MEN,” but being the typical coward most of these punks are he decided it best not to try, I’m happy he didn’t, someone might have died, I was packing.
