Shooting 22lr and 22mag from 223 Handi
« on: March 02, 2012, 04:43:15 PM »

I have 2 what look like spent 223 cases that one can load 22lr and one you can load a 22mag and shoot from a 223. Has anyone else tried these? will doing so hurt the barrel?

can you hit what you aim at with them? My barrel is a 1/9 twist and I know the 22lr likes a 1/16

I guess my back porch light is getting dim; only one oar in the water, or something, but I'm not understanding how it centers the bullet in the bore and still strikes on the rim.  Can you describe it or post a pic?

Thanks,

Pete

That was my thought too.  Can I add a request for a range report?  The 1 in 9 should work with aguila SSS 60 gr LR ammo..Curious how the 22 mag shoots too.  Know it was already ask but wondering who makes these.

Thanks,

rather neat little design. The back of the empty case (primer area) is a cap and on the inside there is a mock offset firing pin.

I've had mine for my .222 Rem/12ga. for many years.  (along with numerous others)

Shooting them in your gun won't hurt a thing, and may or may not shoot well in your bbl..

I think either cheaperthandirt.com or sportsmansguide.com has them.
