Which bipod is best on a Handi?
« on: February 28, 2012, 11:56:10 AM »
I am considering putting a bipod on my rifle..  I'd first like to do a little research.  Of those that attach to the front stock, which one do Handi shooters prefer?.  Jim.

I like the Harris. The tall one.It makes nice when your leaning against a tree.Just the right height for setting on your butt. Here's my 17M2

I checked the Harris website. Which mount did you use?
I just ordered a used bipod that attaches to the front swivel lug. I took my .223 out today and rested it on the lug and it shot very well so I am hoping the bipod will yield similar results.

That's the one I used.I put another sling mount just forward of the hinge pin.Just make sure it's far enough forward to let the gun open. Some say it doesn't make any difference where you put the bi-pod,if you bed the fore arm to the barrel.I don't bed, just float with a o-ring.Mine shoot good that way and YMMV.Hope this helps some??
