Modified Frame

I purchased a Contender frame from an individual on this forum and it was a mistake. The frame is a stainless G2 frame and a Rynite stock and forearm. The person did not have any pictures, but had a good feedback rateing on that forum, so I took a chance. When the frame arrived it had been modified by a botched job of trying to checker the raised areas of the sides of the frame. I am planning on trying to file the checkering off and then polish the sides to get rid of the botched job. Also when it arrived the cap for the grip of the pistol grip of the stock was missing and also one of the screws for the forend.
Now my question does anyone have an extra rynite grip cap? What are the screws for the forend? I know that the warrentee will not be any good for the frame that has been modified so will I ruin the frame by fileing off the checkering. Any help with this is really appreciated. If you are trying to buy a grip cap then post it on the classified forum.  Want to buys are not allowed on discussion forums.
I hope you are discussing your disappointment over this purchase with the seller.  He may have the items you want, and is the only one who can discuss the problem you see with the frame.  Persue it with him before you bring it to a discussion forum.
Normally if the seller has a good rating then things will work out.  Good luck.
