Remove scratch from Remington synthetic stock

How would I remove a scratch from a Remington 700 synthetic stock?

These are some form of plastic or polyester and repair is usually not an issue. That said if the stock is painted treat it like a scratch on a car, sand, prime and spot.. If bare plastic painting might be an option or perhaps sanding the surface and re-texturing. Be cautious if the stock is fiber reenforced sanding it may produce fuzzing..
