good old USA

Here we go again. More crisis in the middle east and we are being asked for help from Isreal. What has Isreal ever done for us? After all the trageties in the mid west with all the tornado damage done where is the financial help we should recieve, after all the billions we shell out to these 3rd world countries? America, its time to wake up and take care of #1 first.

Seriously??? Israel is an ally, America's greatest ally in that region, and America stands by her allies, at least we used to before Obama came along!

Don't play the spellcheck / dictionary card.  You know exactly what buffer is trying to say.  don't try to discredit his point by calling out one spelling error.

Israel doesn't need our help with Iran ... toe to toe my money is on Israel. But Iran is funding Syria who appears to be in possession of some WMDs (gosh, where did those come from ?!?, and Iran has threatened the US if we intervene is Syria ... this won't be a fair fight, it will spread regionally, and the US will be involved whether we like it or not.

Either way, this is a bad situation.    This whole process brings to my mind a future event foretold to convene at Megiddo.   And, yes, the Iranians will find a way to bring us into the conflict.   If so, I hope imam Obama will let us turn Tehran into a mirror.

If you study that war you will discover that it could have easily gone either way. At time Israel had their backs against a wall.

Seriously?  Not only did Israel win the war in 6 days, but came out of it with more land.  Superior training and tactics prevailed against greater numbers.  Not to mention leaving their enemies armies in ruin.

I do not know of any people more widely hated and targeted for extinction, and thinking they are going to "bite off more than they can chew"???? I think we need to run a K-BIT on the originator of that idea. Israel can chew rocks I assure you, and Iran can be made into waffles just fine by Israel without any help from anyone. The US is concerned not that the Jews would fail, but that they would be way too successful.

It is interesting that Iran spouts off that it hates Israel and will go to any length to destroy it and it's inhabitants, yet nobody except Israel takes them seriously.  How long does the neighborhood bully have to wave a club at you before you act first.  The nuclear club Iran is wielding is pretty big and powerful and better be taken seriously.  If Iran strikes first, it will probably hit our Persian Gulf assets at the same time.  The fact that Israel's and our retalliation will destroy them is not a deterrant to them since they are engaged in a religious war where human logic does not enter into the equation.  Satan (Allah) has been trying to eradicate the Jews for a long time and will not be deterred by the mass destruction of his own followers in his efforts.
The victory of Israel in it's wars, indeed in it's very modern existance, is a result of something more than human effort and "luck".

In the 6 days war Israel was the attacker , today they will find better defenses if they attack. They may over come and win but at what cost ? They will face some of the most unstable leaders the world knows .

   Israel responded to an Egyptian naval blockade and a mass of Egyptian troops on their border.  It was one of those situations where you know you can see the bully drawing his fist back to punch you so you hit him in the nose as hard and as fast as you can.  So while technically the attacker they did so as a preemptive strike in response to Egypt's aggressive actions.

What they saw was Palestine in civil war and both Egypt and Syria trying to take it over .
