Win pre 64 receiver sight
« on: June 27, 2012, 02:49:11 AM »
Hi all,
I have a 1948 mfg. model 94 flat band carbine in 30-30 which has receiver sight mount holes. I have found they are 6-48 tpi and measure out to approx. .410" apart. Would like to know if this is the proper measurement for mounting various receiver sights such as Lyman or Williams? I was told by knowledgeable people that drilling and tapping for receiver sights was a factory option at the time my 94 was made. Thanks for any replies!

I have a 1952 32 WS that is factory drilled and has a Williams Peep on it. It is unclear exactly when they started D&T from the factory. But if you is, either sight should work.
