What's this +- 0 agree disagree?  Mine didn't have it a minute ago but others did. Now mine does :-\  Hope it's not my computer flippin out ;D

It is the karma feature of the software but I didn't think karma was the best word and am not sure respect is either but I went with it anyway. Basically it will keep up with how many people agree or disagree with you and your posts. Kinda like a reputation or respect or something or another like that. I figure if someone is giving bad info then the members can let it be known by disagreeing with them and if good then agreeing. I know many will post but we have about 3k active members that do not post but may click agree or disagree.

Some can't handle the truth!  ;)  Besides that, there's no way to specify what one agrees or disagrees about. Case in point. I could spout off some garbage about casting (which I know very little about) and folks could disagree with me. Then I could be talking about trauma management of combat casualties (which I am very familiar with) and some folks could agree with me. Who's to know which is for which?

dump it. if it was to exist it should be topic oriented to individually specific to each person like dinny pointed out. you never know what the disagreement was concerning and can create wrong impressions of people, but thats what we've become during the impersonal computer age.

Thanks for the support guys, and to GB and Matt for dumping it as well. That system could only lead to hurt or bad feelings between members. But you know, I may be the only member here to hold a negative vote in that +/- voting system in the abbreviated time it was here.

I agree with Jason, some posts (on the political/conspiracy theories threads, not here) are just so outrageously asinine, that I wish I could tell the poster he is so full of it, in more colorful language, than is allowed here.

When I ran my arrow over them and the hand appeared I was afraid to click on one. I just happened to be on D29 and got the nerve to click on it. Glad you didn't blow up or something ;D  I'm always leery clicking on something I'm not sure of with all the viruses available >:(

On Bushcraft USA forum they have a "thanks" block.  You can thank someone for making a post without posting.  It's a nice feature.  There is no negative selection.
