It's off to prison for former governor Blagojevich. Of course, if a person does the crime..he should be prepared to do the time, but one does wonder if somehow Chicago style politics doesn't engender and encourage this behavior. I guess one would expect a person who tried to scrape some profit off a senate seat should get a lengthy prison term..say 5 to 8 years, but does 14 years sound justified ?
Of course, we realize such type of criminal activity almost never happens in Chicago politics, but did they have to be so vindictive ?
...But seriously, Why would the Chicago mob seemingly pick out this one case among many and drive so hard for a long prison term ? Couldn't be because Obama's sweetie Valerie Jarret, had her eye on that particular seat, could it ?

Still, compared to other political shennanigans and the penalty, 14 years seems a bit harsh for Blago's family to endure..perhaps this is a window into the heart of our top elected leaders..
