Many a liberal anti-gun type will try to equate "militia" in the 2nd Amendment to today's National Guard. The intent, of course, is to deny the right of "average citizens" to own firearms. Well, here is the current code defining what the militia really is:

The National Guard only comprises the "organized militia", the whole body of citizenry basically comprising the entire militia of the USA....
