Scope bases for Ruger 44 Carbine

(Good grief!  Does that Drew guy ask a lot of questions!)

Sorry...was going to order some rings/bases/scope for that Ruger Carbine I bought the wife.  Here's the setup, as I had planned:

Leupold VX-II, 1-4x20
Leupld quick-release base/mount
Leupold rings

The guy at Bear Basin was a little hesitant...he didn't know if that setup would fit on the Carbine...its in transit, so i don't have it in front of me...aren't those just normal "Weaver" style bases on the Ruger?

If I remember correctly I had a Burris 1 pc mount & rings on mine. What was he hesitant about? I believe the newer .44s use Ruger rings that mate with integral bases on the receiver.
