The Savage Hog rifle?
« on: May 05, 2012, 12:35:08 PM »
Hey Guys,
Has anyone handled one of these yet?   I like the fact that they have a short 20 inch barrel, and that it is medium weight, not lightweight.  Also like the fact that it comes with iron sites.
These things are pre-threaded for a supressor, which I would never be interested in.  But I wonder, does anybody make a compensator/flash supressor that you could just screw on the end?
I guess the synthetic stock is just the standard tupperwear that comes on the Stevens 200, or am I wrong?
All in all, not a bad looking rifle for $425, unless there is some hidden problem with them.
It actually looks like more like a scout rifle than the Savage scout rifle does.
Regards, Mannyrock

I was checking them out the other day.  Don't think I'd want the .338 but the .308 might be cool.  I'd really like to see them make a .450 Bushmaster version.  Now that'd be a hog killa!

Bud's has the pretty cheap.  IMO it's an excellent Bug Out rifle.

I played with one today.  I really dislike the Accu-trigger and the stock but for $400.00 I wish I'd bought one instead of the Ruger Gunsite Scout.
