Old Yew Bow
« on: March 21, 2012, 07:48:14 PM »
Hi, Fellows...new to this forum, but read a number of pages, and I have a question. Has anybody here heard of Kore T. Duryee? He was an old time bowyer, (sp?), he worked with Fred Bear back in the day...anyway, I was given an old Yew Wood Bow signed by both him and Fred Bear. I'm not looking to sell it, but, I was wondering if it would be safe to shoot, or is it a wall hanger now? I did string it up, and pulled back a bit a few times, seems still limber. Thanks, BoomLover
