GIjoekid,

I like it!!!! I say it is a Blakely. You can find a past discussion on a No. 10 here:

http://www.gboreloaded.com/forums/index.php/topic,217471.msg1099179997.html#msg1099179997

I would like to know the following details.

 1. What is the actual overall length?
 2. What does it measure across the bore?
 3. There seems to be an inscription on it in you picture. What does it say?
 4. There seems to be a lot of paint on it. Are you sure there are no marking underneath the paint on the trunnions?

If you can answer those questions.  I am sure we can give you the exact model that this is.
If you make it idiot proof, then, someone will make a better idiot.

At first he posted a close up picture of the inscription.  Now, it's not there.

When GIjoekid originally opened this topic he included photographs of a Blakely (so called Type 10) Mountain Rifle. If any member of the board saved these photos, I'd appreciate it if you contacted me by PM.
RIP John. While on vacation July 4th 2013 in northern Wisconsin, he was ATVing with family and pulled ahead of everyone and took off at break-neck speed without a helmet. He lost control.....hit a tree....and the tree won.  He died instantly.

The one thing that you can almost always rely on research leading to, is more research.
