been 4 weeks since the surgery
saw the doc today.....AND I CAN DRIVE A CAR NOW....[well i did cheat there too]
i read the repords and talked to the doc some  more
looks like i dodged a BIG bullet
you lucky  i didn't die on your property

I woulda buried you at the bottom of that tree stand, Beth agreeing and all, dedicated and memoralized the stand, climbed in it and promptly shot something, a hog maybe, which by the way after three trips down here you haven't done yet cause they didn't participate for you.  Maybe plant a tree in your honor, all of which sounds like a lot of work for your sorry arse, which is a lot of words just to say I am grateful you are still above ground and sucking air.

I would assume he has no land line phone, computer, or electric lights in his store which would all create a greater likelihood of hazard.         Or he's an idiot.   ::)

I work in places that have real explosive gas issues and my phone is made for such. The land lines are big and round sealed in these areas . Some places no phone is allowed . Static elec. could be more of a problem if air was dry than a phone.
At the Sam's club there is a woman who watches self service gas pumps. She goes off if you get back in your vehicle while filling. I think she is an example of self importance.
Your gun shop owner might just hate cell phones , maybe you should say the caller was asking you to check product for them .
Don't let my statements suggest there is no hazard as I got blown out of a room when gas fumes ignited . I also had to set a 4 inch gas main on fire to be able to work on it . Better to have the flame than let the gas build and explode at an in opportune time . So I know what can happen.
As for the store owner , does he allow open containers of powder or primers to sit around ? Since both are in DOT approved containers that keep such accidents from occurring ............... a spark large enough to breech the container and cause a fire ( fast burning not explosion) would almost be sure to electrocute the person holding the phone if it could produce that much static .

If ya can see it ya can hit it !

Odds of setting off a primer with a cell phone, pretty darn slim I believe. I would think that a gun shop owner prohibiting cell phones in his shop. Probably doesn't want a customer calling another shop to check on price's. Customer goes in and price's a gun, then calls the local Gander Mtn.,Cabela's,Bass Pro, or just another shop, tries to beat down the shop he's in for a couple bucks. I know of several gun shop owners in my area, that will not set up at gun shows, just for this reason alone. Don't want to hassle with the customer trying to beat them down $10-$20. gypsyman
