Weihrauch HW35
« on: April 04, 2004, 01:24:50 PM »
Never had a lot of use for anything other than old Crosmans or Benj. Sheridan.  After my dad passed, mom gave me his two air rifles, old Crosman, and this HW 35, which I had forgotten he ever had. Well, been shooting it some lately, it is awesome. Other then it is as heavy as a cannon, this is one heck of a gun for about a 20 year old piece. Anyone know much about these 35's and what would be a comparable gun in todays market? Anything at all would be helpful. Thanks gentlemen. Buddy

The HW-35 is truly one of the best spring air rifles out there.  I will never sell mine.  The HW-35 is related to the discontinued Beeman R-6 and R-8(HW-50S).  Either of the above are as good as it gets.

Thanks Chuck, the more I shoot this thing, the smoother it gets. It is  very accurate and a long distance shooter. I don't think my dad ever used this rifle very much, it appears to be in very good shape, I believe I will keep it around.  Buddy

I just had the seals in mine replaced at Beeman after 20 years of owning mine, you may want to have yours checked also they tend to dry up after awhile. I believe the whole "super tune" was around $60-70. Definately hold on to your model 35, that is THE gun that got the whole industry rolling. A few words of wisdom for your 35; NEVER dry fire, and I cannot stress this enough or you will be replacing your cocking lever very shortly. NEVER shoot anything through it other than lead pellets, lead balls to avoid damaging the rifling. I'm sure you may know this but just so it is said. And NEVER,NEVER sell it, good luck with it.
