M48 Topper butt plate question
« on: April 05, 2012, 08:11:58 AM »
Picked up a used H&R M48 Topper 12ga. a little while back. Was built in 1947.  It currently has a slide on recoil pad. After taking it off, there is no butt plate on the buttstock. Can anyone tell me what the original plate was or looked like. Pictures would even be better. I am wanting to put it back in original condition if possible.

Thanks in advance for any help, Jeff

It's a hard rubber or plastic more than likely, Numrich and Brownells has em listed, but both are out of stock.
