« on: February 02, 2012, 03:29:03 AM »
I was checking out an old STAR M30 at the local GS the other day. I dont know much about the old STAR guns. This one looked like it had been carried in a saddle bag for about 2 years ;D . So whats the deal on this big ole chuck of iron. Can parts still be had form them ?

One place to get Star parts is from a member of the www.gunboards.com/forums  "Spanish Pistols" forum.  He goes by the handle of "Star" and bought up the remaining parts when the Star and Astra factories closed a few years ago.  If you are missing something, you might ask him.  His first name is Jorge and he lives in northern Spain.  I've bought parts from him and he is a square shooter.  He also posts lists of parts on the Gunboards "Trader" forum; you could find him by doing a name search for "Star" there.

There is also a member who goes by the handle "MGMike" and know the Star 30 series very well.  If you do a search of that forum for "Star 30" you will find a lot of info. on them.  I had one, a 30M; built like a tank and just about as heavy.  Shot about as accurately as any Wonder Nine I've ever fired, including my Browning Hi-Power.
