Hi-Point, pleasantly surprised
« on: April 09, 2012, 05:22:32 AM »
After reading all the different opinions concerning Hi-Point pistols I had a chance to shoot one for the first time yesterday. My brother-in-law recently picked up a 9mm in what appeared to be unfired new condition complete with an Uncle Mikes holster for $85 at a garage sale. He brought it by yesterday. I'm impressed! It feels good to the hands, the sights are easy to pick up and it shoots POA. After shooting a magazine to get the feel for it I was regularly hitting a 4x5" swinging target at 50' rapid shooting style. Was able to stay in about a foot of a clod at around 75 yards. It won't win a beauty contest but it went bang evey time and pretty much hit where I intended with it.

At $85, I'd be more that just semi-tempted...
Jesus said we should treat other as we'd want to be treated... and he didn't qualify that by their party affiliation, race, or even if they're of diff religion.

I think anything that works for 85 bucks is a good deal.  I'd like to have a Hi-Point carbine myself, and if they made high cap mags for it I'd probably already have one.
