When I saw that butterscotch colored bowling ball of 8" shoot out of Tracy 11" mortar 3 years ago in Mt. I was a believer . The ball had orbited the earth at least once and reentered the atmosphere only two miles from point of launch  ;D !

AND as it just sat in the mortar on the chambers rim so it did this on Blast Effect alone  8) .
But everybody knows that ......... :P

Noone saw that ball in the air , it went BANG and the ball was gone !

I'll bet a bowling ball chambered howie would shoot Ft pallet to be gone like a butterscotch bowling ball . Yep "thats just the ticket".

Ode to the butterscotch bowling ball .

That ball did not fly on blast effect alone.

It flew from a directed blast with 2 inches of windage....imagine if it had  1/40th windage.  The ball would land in some backyard in Colorado.
