ar10 project
« on: February 16, 2012, 09:22:22 AM »
I decided to take some of my tax returns and dress up my ar10. The only thing I'm thinking about changing fromt he pic is possibly getting some better optics but the redfeild is holding with no issues. It started out as a dpms Oracle, I changed out the oracle stock for a magpul moe (highly recomend over the oracle stock). Ergo grip, yankee hill quick deploy BUIS 12' dpms free float rail and a PWS FSC30 comp. I stoned the sears up so she brakes pretty clean at around 3lbs. The scope is a redfeild 2-7 ar reticle.  The free float foreend wasn't the easiest to put on since it is a much thinner diameter then most fore ends I had to put the fore end on then put the gas block and tube in after wards. All  in all I'm pretty happy with it.

mines favorite is 150 sierra prohunters pushed by 4895 and a cci primer. Shoots that load 5 shots into 3/4 of an inch or less all day long cool or hot.

Wish I could do that with my H&R .243 Ultra-light..  I get three shots off good..then it starts to open up.. ;)   ;D

That only gives problems for initial sight-in... if I can't drop a deer within three shots...I deserve to lose it !

Mine seems to like 165 flat base hornadys the best but I have a bunch of 150 grainers loaded upp for hunting and it'll put a whole 20round clip into 1.25 moa at 100. With the 165's 5 shots it'll usually print .6 moa all the time.
