Cowboy postal match?
« on: February 19, 2012, 07:41:22 AM »
Not sure if this is the right forum. Anyhow..... This would be using main match rifles and ammo as per SASS rules (pistol caliber, lead, no gascheck - open barrel sights) There could also be a longer range match for the bigger rifle centerfires. Again lead bullets and iron sighting. Could use their sight definitions (barrel sights or TANG mounted peeps) or just go with any iron sight. Is anyone interested? How would it be set up with Graybeard?

You could just use the NRA rules for pistol caliber levergun silhouette. Problem is there aren't any targets to mail in unless you made sil. paper targets and fired your 10 shots at each one at its proper distance. That would be fun, I would be into it. Big Bore levergun would be a little harder, those targets would get really big to print on paper. Or we could all just take our word for the score and figure out how to divide up the prizes among the 100 or so 40's!
