.25-36 Marlin

An older friend has a full box of 20 old .25-36 Marlin cartridges. The box is tattered very badly and most of the cartridges appear to have a coating of verdigris. But I assume, even in their present condition, they have collector interest.
 
I wasn't even aware of this cartridge until I saw them. At first glance I thought they were .25-35 Winchester cartridges for the old Model 94's, but apparently this was a viable caliber in its own right "back in the day".
 
How would I go about finding an accurate value for them?

Per Mr. Ackely in his books, the .25/36 Marlin was the Marlin version of the .25/35 WCF only better, it was ".25/36"!  I am lead to believe that they would interchange. Both on the .30/30 Ballard rim/brass (originally .32/40 or .38/55). I know one fellow had a Marlin that appeared to have had someone try to Improve it with a drill bit. Rechambered nicely to .25/35 WCF Ackley Improved. (Once his relative, the gifter, learned it could now shoot, he took it back...)
 
Prices? Only suggestion is to hit the gun shows and look for the cartridge nuts. If they want it, sky is the limit. If not, you could scare up a .25/35 and shoot it, maybe. Luck. Happy Trails.
