With a natl title I recon next year there will be even more games that thousands of us will be denied to see. Paying cal over $4 mil last year I reckon they need the cable and sattelite money. I hate it. I liked it a lot better when college ball was a game available for ALL to see, instead of big business. POWDERMAN.  >:( >:(

If everyone dropped thier satelite/cable subscriptions it would be free in less than 6 months. The advertiseing would stop without viewers. Just another place that shows what a bunch of suckers/sheep we are. ear

And every year you see the ncaa making a fuss about keeping athletics fair and making sure that college athletes aren't getting paid or anything extra besides school.... while the ncaa make millions and millions of dollars off of the contracts for cable and sattelite and radio and whatever else.

So you have to play well.... or you will lose your scholarship and no school.....

And you have to do well in school... or you won't be allowed to play.....

Basically they are breeding success for themselves.... and money.  I'm not sure if anybody here has ready the definition for indentured servitude lately... but college athletes seem to fit the bill pretty well now a days.

I say as soon as these kids can get out and start making something for themselves instead of being used by others, the better for them.

Cam Newton spent one glorius semester at Auburn.
Now there is a statue of him outside the stadium.
The difference between people who do stuff and people who don't do stuff is that the people who do stuff do stuff.

UK is the only sports team that I follow besides a local NAIA soccer program.  It is definitely business, even down to the NAIA level.

I do believe that the rule to attend college before entering the NBA needs to be changed.  If a kid has the talent then send him.
If that's what it takes to make the NCAA less of a business I can live with that.  Let the stars go pro then play the boys who were just a cut under and I'll still be happy because UK is my team.

I really hope that Darius Miller gets a high pick in the draft.  4 year kid from KY that really improved and glued this team together.

The competition for $ will take the pro's where it will and the college ranks can get back more to where they used to be, more like following a high school team. ear
