foxpro call volume

i went hunting with my caller yesterday and i could barely hear the sounds coming out of it. i know this is not normal and i am wondering if anyone else every had this happen. the caller it self was turned all the way up and so was the remote so i donot know what happened.

Hmmm....I would have said low batteries but my batteries went dead Saturday, and all it did was give a few normal volume calls, then the green lgiht flashed and shut itself off.

I had read that interference between the remote and caller can cause that to happen,such as distance,brush ,tall grass and such. Even though the remote will show that you turned it up high the caller volume will remain where it was until it gets the signal from the remote.
