How do these Czech revolvers compare to a similar Taurus. I'm looking for a DA 22 LR for plinking, hunting and light target shooting that is reasonably priced, just can't afford the S&W

That's news to me, I can't tell you a thing about it. I can only say that the Czechs do build some fine guns as evidenced by the CZ line but whether that also applies to this revolver I don't know.

Looks like someone mated a High Standard with a Charter Arms. In .22 LR shouln't be a problem.
