Does anyone have any experience with the New England Custom Gun aperture sights for use on Weaver style rails? Looks like a nice set-up for my new Remington 7400.

NECG PEEP Sight

I use one for foul weather on my 99 Savage. I set the gun up so all my sights are dead on at 100 yards. It has weaver bases so I sighted in a Leupold 2 1/2 X with German retical in QDW rings. The folding rear sight is set and by detaching the scope with the levers the NECG sight goes on for bad weather or scope problems. I carry the peep in Eagle Industries' strap on pack fastened to the buttstock. The pack has ammo loops and lots of room for the sight, small cleaning kit and survival items. Follow the installation instructions with the sight. It adjusts for windage in an ingenious way. Set and forget. You CAN remove and replace with repeatability. Good luck

Well, it is a unique and workable peep sight. As Bandito stated, set and forget. It can be removed and re-installed with bullet impact staying at the same point at 50 yards using my Remington 7400 and this sight.

Unless there is a real problem with lack of adjustment, you can use the original. I have never had to change the front sight when installing a peep sight. There is lots of adjustment in this NECG sight. I love peeps because at the ranges I shoot all you do is put the front sight where you want to strike and squeeze. Much easier than an open sight. Good huntin'. Bandito.

Steve,
I did not need an alternate front sight on the Remington 7400 Carbine.
