Turkey hunting advise
« on: April 26, 2012, 09:17:54 AM »
Hello,
I live in NE Kansas, Hiawatha area.  Shot a big one last week, April 17th, but have not heard any gobbling except for one or two in the morning.  Did not hear any gobble that day either, 3 just sneaked in.
And this morning, none at all.  Now these are places that I know have birds around.
Have they just stopped coming in to decoys, or being interested in hens altogether?  I know that we have had unseaonalble hot weather here, is it over?
What do you guys think.  If you can suggest technique please do.
I hunt with a 3 bird setup, 2 hens and a jake.  Have killed lots, so I am not a novice and a pretty good caller.

Thanks
