Norma Discontinues 9.3x57mm?

According to Midway, Norma has discontinued making ammo for the 9.3x57mm although brass is still listed.

Is this true?

Not likely. Maybe they stopped importing,but that caliber is showing up at Cabelas with the Swede sporter rifle. In Sweden, this round is popular like the 30-06 is here.

Well if the Smalle Arms Treaty gets passed  you will not get any ammo from Europe again.  Maybe Norma just figured it out and is getting ready to close it's doors! >:(

So just because the US market maybe lost Norma has no future?


Strange that when the whole of Europe shoots and hunts too and in a lot of Europe the seasons are much longer than those in the US.

Be nice Brit. ;) I have a bunch of Norma brass for my 9.3,but no big deal. My dies have a tapered expander,so 8 M/M  Mauser is easily formed.I love my 9.3's.

The useless importers here would not bring any in unless I ordered 2,000 bits of brass or 1,000 cartridges and at a bloody silly price too. The cartridges worked out at over $2,000 US and that was years ago now.


I got my Norma 9.3x57 brass by doing a trade with a Swedish collector he got the brass for the local range it's all once fired. I received several hundred pieces  8) . Seems they were just left after sighting in and doing the shooting test for Moose permits.


What folks tend to forget is that Norma also make ammunition for quite a few other ammunition "makers" and they also make brass for other people too.
