I have posted this on another forum and thought some people here might get some joy out of it also.
I have finally had a chance to head out and do a little bit of shooting over the weekend, christmas and then a few other things got in the way and then mother nature decided to throw in a hot weekend just to mix things up a little.
The good news is when it finally cooled down to 30oC from somewhere up near 45oC i went out and sighted in my .22-250 that DoubleR bedded for me (i did take it with me late last year to sight in but left my bullets at home...please tell me you have all done this??) I wasnt using my rest just my bipod for my sighting in as i was going to be using this in the night anyway. all sighted in with a good group( well for my standards) without a good rear rest....the old one wasnt high enough with the bi pod so i had to turn it sideways and use it that way and still managed a group just over 1/2 inch at 100.
We finally headed out around 10:00pm on saturday night and headed straight for an area that we know holds a few foxes. 3.2km from home we shot our first fox (oh yeah did i mention how much i love the GPS my GF brought me for CHRISTmas???) from here it was a 7km straight line to the furthest of the foxes we shot. Most of the foxes were shot within about a 3km circle of each other. This area is quite new and we have only shot over it once before and we also covered some area that we have never shot over before that the property owner only recently brought.

We got some good footage but also missed some excellent footage....i cant tell you how annoyed i am at some of the footage that was missed. like a peice of footage where we called a fox in off a hill over a flat area where it zoomed all its attention in on a rabbit that was between us and the fox. I ended up shooting this fox with the shot pritty much over the top of the rabbit turned to the camera person asked if they had it and ummmmmm im not sure was the answer....when i looked at the footage we had a wonderful view of a peice of grass and the sound of the foxes being shot. but not to matter there is always next weekend.
The end results was 10 foxes and a few rabbits.

Ok in this video i would like to thank my girlfriend for holding the light and this is me filming...as you can hear its slightly windy but it wasnt a long shot....i would like to thank my friend mark for leaving this one for seed he is normally a good shot....normally unfortunatly we only seem to get good video of the misses. Once again thanks goes out to my girlfriend for waving the light around. This fox was slowly making its way in working its way down wind from us making it slightly more important to make the shot....oh well the end result was the same.
