Excuse the mild rant, but...

I Called H&R back in the beginning of April to order 2 forend rifle assemblies. One a Camo laminate and the other in laminate Gray/Black to go with the Boyds buttstocks I ordered back in March. I called H&R parts first and got the part numbers and checked for availability and got the appropriate shipping amount.
I then sent in a US postal money order with a barrel accessory order form with the part numbers that were given to me by the parts dept person who helped me over the phone. We (meaning both the parts guy nor myself) could not get the "Remington" parts form to pull up on their website. He said it should be fine and they would process the order.

4 weeks goes by and nothing. So I call H&R parts. Ask them for a status. They tell me yes they got the Money Order on the 8th and it should be going out at any time... Ok, I can live with that. So yesterday, my wife calls and says I got a check from Remington. Remington simply cut me a check back for the amount with no explaination. Nothing, nada, just a "here's your money back..." I don't want my money back. I want my forend assemblies. I have been waiting for 6 weeks now to finish up two projects.

I am going to call H&R back. I have not cashed the check so technically they still have my money. Hopefully we can work something out, but if not, does anyone have an idea how to handle this constructively. Meaning, me getting the forends I need to complete the rifle, so I can get on with the fun stuff of shooting them in style? Whew... Ok, I feel a little better.  ???

My best advice is PM Brian for his recommendation.  ;)

Just got off the phone with the H&R parts department. I don't know who's fault it was, don't care, but the shipping address that they tried to deliver my stuff to was wrong. Therefore it was "refused". Right state, wrong city... OK. That explains it. I will have to re-submit the order and with another US Postal MO and they will process it again with a confirmed and correct address. Round 2.
