Accuracy, like all other ammo will vary from one rifle to the next.  So far accuracy has been suitable for 200 yard deer hunting at the least with all the rifles I've used and seen it used with.  Effectiveness on deer is just fine if you'll remember to put the bullet where it needs to go.....two pounds of meat  blown off a deer in the wrong place won't do much good ;D

We use the managed recoil ammo- four shots, four kills.  I shot a nice axis buck at 60 yards.  My son (age 9) shot his first doe and buck with the same ammo.  And my nephew shot an axis doe at about 150 yards. Accuracy is good.  The only thing I don't like is the lack of pass through.  The bullet really fragments on entry.  Of the four shots there has been only one pass through.  All in all, I like it.  My son will continue to use it until he grows a bit.

A bull barrel 308 doesn't have any recoil to speak of even with full house loads.

I agree with Spanky on this. Rather then shooting a very light bullet, how about(if you hand-load) using a 150 gr 30-30 type bullet and velocity in a heavy 308 Win.

I'm getting ready to try reduced loads in 30-06 with H4895.  Simple math for any bullet.
