Thumb hole stock question

I'm thinking really hard about ordering a thumb hole stock set from Boyds and I'm wondering if the bolt hole will chafe my hand.  Has any one here had the problem with with one?

The hole hasn't bothered me. I have 3 Lam thumbholes.

I've shot about 60 rounds thru my 45-70 Ultra Hunter, 40 of those were Ruger loads with no issues. Also a several dozen each thru the 221, 6.5x55, 7x57, 243 and 6mm Ackley, hasn't been a problem for me.  ;) That's with a button socket head bolt, if it has a regular socket head bolt, the results may be different, the button head is quite a bit lower profile and doesn't protrude from the stock like the standard socket head does.

I have a couple of thumb hole stocks and I have no
problem with that. Really like the way they feel.

The guys say and I agree I do not think you will have any problems.
I have two issues with the thumb hole. First is its harder to manipulate the hammer. Second is the comb is too low.  Other than that, I like the feel better then a std stock.

Thanx guys.  I hadn't considered that the comb height would different.  I'll have to wait until I can handle one before I order.   I was panning to install a new thumb hole set on my .223 and put it's stock and for end on my .44 mag to dispose of the plastic stock...
