Sucker fish
« on: May 15, 2012, 05:00:22 PM »
I took my Cub Scout den fishing tonight. The trout weren't biting but the suckers were. Here is one that my son caught. Anyone have any chowder recipes for these?

Don't have any chowder recipes but I know you can fillet-skin-grind them and make patties to pan fry and they are X-C-LENT. They need to be fresh though, tried freezing some after grinding and they were NASTY.

That's good to know, there are plenty more down at that bridge to get some fresh ones and try it.
