The 922 was a utility grade H&R, simple yet very well made, mine is a great shooter.
Not fancy, it just works.
Should be able to find a nice condition shooter for around $ 150 bucks.
With LNIB pieces bringing $ 200 maybe a little more than that.

1911,
That model is what H&R called their "Large Frame" - is dimentionally similar to a S&W K frame.
The model was in production from circa 1925 with 7 or 8 recognized variations during the 1st Model; frame change resulted in the 2nd Model starting in 1952. Later around 1973 a 3rd Model with transfer bar safety system was offered. Prices on different models will vary quite a bit. If you know the serial number of the one you are looking at, I can provide more history of that piece.

I picked it up today and it has an octagon 6'' barrel in 22lr. I'll post the serial number later its away right now. I like it because the frame is larger. CZY

The hand on many is relatively thin and sharp so the star tends to wear and/or get glitchy. If one gets dirty and the cylinder is reluctant to turn, dont force it (on any revolver for that matter).

Here is mine, and it's a shooter.
Mine is identical but wears a 3" barrel and a round but grip!!! Great little "tackle of guns"

Here's a pic of my 1950 Model 922
My uncle bought it new.
I have the box, manual, hang tag, and receipt
receipt says $ 24.00
He also gave me the box of shells he said he bought with the gun. There were still 27 rounds left in the box!
Never had a chance to ask him if that was the only box of shells he ever had. But it sure looks like new.

Here's my H&R 922 its 1954 i think my date listed there is wrong. Don't forget to lube the star wheel that turns the cylinder with some gun grease.
