Say thanks to a veteran and if you  know of a vet that cant get around , see if you can take him to a parade or  some function on Memorial Day.  Dont be  bashfull as some are to proud to ask.   Also dont only say thanks on  Memorial Day, do it throughout the year.    USMC Nam

Its a yr round honor.

When I see a soldier in uniform at a restaurant, I pay his bill.

When I see a vet, I shake his hand and thank him for his service.

I'm out in the woods and on the back roads a lot, love the outddors!  In this area I see lots of old, deserted, neglected small cemeteries and often I find CSA headstones...I know that they're mostly not there, buried somewhere else, probably, but I go back around Memorial Day when I'm well enough, to clean up the graves & put out a flower and flag.  Even done it for a Yankee or two.   ;)
