I use a lot of HS-6 and AA5, both are extremely clean burning in pistol cases 9mm-45ACP. AA5 works in 38 Special too. I generally don't use it in any of the larger pistol cases.

I've used AA#2, #9, and 5744 and found them all to be clean burning.

Never understood why clean burning was important.  All are clean burning if enough pressure is being developed.

I tend to agree , while some powders tend to burn more cleanly than others , none are that big of a deal provided you do some simple firearm maint. ( Like cleaning )  ???

If your going to the range and planning to shoot 500 rounds , take a cleaning kit with you , not that big of a deal .

Titegroup even under low pressure and hundreds of shots before cleaning no unburned granules.
