AR 15 Complete Upper
« on: June 04, 2012, 08:41:02 PM »
I was wondering if you all could point in the direction of a Complete upper as i am wondering if it is truly cheaper to put your own together I am thinking about trying a frontier lower just for the hell of it. This is based on a budget and was wondering if its possible to slap together a fun plinker for under $600. Thanks for all your insight and knowledge.

Easy to build one for under $600. You can probably do one for $500 if you look around.

I did mine this way:

gunshow stripped metal lower: $64 including taxes
Lower parts kit from PSA for $99 (on sale now for $89)
Complete upper from sota: $369 ($379 now) with free shipping

So I did mine for $532.

Polymer lower build up could be done for:

Complete polymer NFA lower: $109 + $20 FFL (free shipping)
Sota upper: $369 (free shipping)
Complete gun: $498
