Very nice work. Have you tried making one with the .50 cal bore set back like a chamber with the last inch or so of the barrel bored out larger? No sure of the legalities involved. Would that reclassify it as a DD? Here are a few shots I took yesterday of one of the Richmond Grays howitzers.

Reclassify it as a DD, there is only one DD and that are me.  As long as it replicates a pre 1899 and does no use fixed ammo commonly available, it is an antique and not a destructive device.

Ok you have seen the pictures of my 50cal. cannon here are the first 5 shots. 25yds. 90 gr. R/S powder, 350gr. Maxie Hunter.

Fire 6 rounds on two B17 targets and get them in the mail for the postal.

You want a low score first time so you get a big handicap.
