Making Brass for the 358 Norma Mag
« on: June 02, 2012, 06:50:51 AM »
I added another 358 Norma to the ranks recently.  I usually use 338 win mag brass run it through my sizer and then fireform.  The come out a little bit short but it is much cheaper than Norma brass.  I remember reading some time back that 300 win mag brass would work just as good or better seeing as it is a little bit longer.  Has anybody tried this or have experience using the 300 brass?

Yes the 300 Winny brass will get you a tad longer length... so will using 300 or 357 H&H...

Lube it run it thru and trim it down... pretty straightforward.

Thanks CW, I figured that was the case.  I guess I just needed a little reassurance.
