I do my research but I don't consider your hero a credible source.

How about an x-ray of a man's skull with a breechplug inside of it?  How about pictures of a few dozen parts that have been surgically removed from folks?  How about putting fake proof marks on their guns until 2006-2007?  It's all out there.

I also don't consider your hero's ambulance chasing buddies as a credible source! How about pictures of the dead and wounded bodies from the faulty Remington 700 triggers and do I think Remington had bad barrels yes I do.

Yes, the same problems still exist that existed years ago.

No more than what problems remingtons have.

Remington did not, and does not have a problem.  Those CVA pics are really gruesome.

more lawsuits against remington for faulty guns than against the big 3 muzzleloading makers put together.

That doesn't mean a thing except that Remington has more money than they do combined.  Remington didn't produce a defective product.  They built one that worked exactly like it's supposed to.

I wonder how many rifles those big 3 companies produced compared to Remington, I'd guess not even half, combined.

Back to the main question there are many complaints from owners that were never injured and are not trying to get anything reporting their M700 fired when just touching the safety. I recommend to anyone that has a non pre 2007 Xmark pro trigger to replace their trigger with a good after market trigger.

Please send me your old triggers.  I love them.  My favorites are the real early ones that allow you to lock the bolt down with the safety.

I bought a new 700 BDL in 1972 that would fire when you pushed the safety off. The sear engagement was set too short. I fixed it in minutes.
