41 years - Congratulations. It takes a lot of puttin' up with for that to happen. ;) In my case it was the wife that had to do the puttin' up with - 38 years here - hope to make many more.

Ben, congrats to you and your wife, my guess there is ''puttin' up'' on both side of the marriage, has to be for it to last this long. My wife and I will celebrate 50 years this coming March, so we know where you're at. Y'all take care and enjoy the anniversary, John.
It's not what you do, but how you do what you do, that counts.
Just keep on keeping on!

Thanks Ben, I hope so, with all the little things that keep breakin I just keep wonderin about my longevity as I get older!!  ??? I skinned my shin last week working in the yard, it's infected and not healing right even after doing all the right things, yesterday the Doc took xrays to make sure the infection isn't in the bone and put me on an oral antibiotic, thoughts of losing my leg have crossed my mind! :-X My best friend just got back from DC, he spent the last 5 months there helping his son recover from losing his lower leg in a motorcyle accident after just returning from his third tour in Iraq, he's an EOD speciallist in the Navy!  :o

Tim,

It was kinda' funny this morning when the wife and I went to Wally World to get stuff to grill.  She had on a wrist brace, (carpal tunnel), and I had on an elbow brace, (tennis elbow).  Neither of us remembered reading glasses, so we took turns squinting trying to read the labels.....

Old age ain't for sissies!

All ya'll are correct about the putting up with.....but honestly it was mostly the wife.  I'm a fella' that goes whole hog with my hobbies, and I like them all.  Her idea of a good time is just a good book!

Watch that infection Tim, with all these news reports of people getting really bad off, don't hesitate to go to the ER or whatever it takes!

Ben,

I'm with ya on the puttin up with too, my wife makes most of the compromises in our relationship....lucky for me!!! ;D

Yupper, all the media about flesh eatin bacteria and death/loss of limbs from it has me really concerned, but it also makes me feel like a hypochondriac sissy!! :-[ But better safe than sorry I always say, I'd rather be embarassed than take the chance of it getting out of control. Worst thing is the antibiotic gives me gas and indigestion pretty much just like the chronic IBS that I finally got under control with a daily probiotic a couple years ago, lived with it for years until I figured out what was causing it. Now I got the same symtoms, but at least it's just temporary for a couple weeks while taking the med that's causing it!  :D

Congrats!! I have 35 in next month. The wife just got her medicare card........ she was NOT a happy camper. The term "senior citizen" is not one she embraces.

Don't worry Jason, you'll get there, just a little slower than the rest of us.
