I bought a can of this after reading Taffin or someone? who experienced excellent accuracy with VV n-110 under a heavy ssk 340 cast bullet in his 45.  I have an 45 LBT 325 WFN that drops ww bullet wieghing 342 grains gas checked and lubed, so I thought I'd try it.  Taffin used 17.0 grains.

I tried it today and the results were all over the place on the target and over the chrono.  Velocity for 50 rounds ranged from a low of 832 to a high of 1032 with an average of around 945.  Groups were 3.5 inches or worse from 25 yards.  Maybe the SSK sits alot deeper in the case.

I will try 17.5 and 18.0 next I guess.   Thing is that this powder only comes in a 2 LB keg too, so I hope it works out for me.

I bought a 2lb can of it a couple of years ago because it was so rare around here. I does OK in my .357 or .44mag but it reminds me of #2400 or AA#9 in it's load data and use. I use regular primers with it like I do with the other two powders. I've found a pretty good powder for heavy loads with LilGun and H110. Bill
