How We got Obamacare, SCOTUS approved, and who benefits

http://dailybail.com/home/bill-moyers-look-whos-really-writing-the-healthcare-bill-big.html    Video - PBS Bill Moyers Essay, The Health Care Lobby
A look back in the wake of yesterday's SCOTUS decision.
Who is actually writing the healthcare reform bill? Lobbyists for Big Pharma and the insurance industry, of course. The last time we saw massive healthcare legislation on Capitol Hill, it was for Medicare Part D, the prescription drug benefit. As a result of this legislation and the work of former Congressman Billy Tauzin, Medicare is not allowed to negotiate drug prices with pharmaceutical companies. David Walker called it the single most fiscally irresponsible bill in the last 50 years.

It was a brilliant move by far Right (but oh so likable) Chief Justice Roberts to side with the Dem-appointed Justices and uphold ObamaCare. After all, this is a massive victory for corporate power, forcing citizens to buy an expensive insurance product that won’t serve our needs very well but will profit industry, in lieu of receiving real health care. ...(actually I can’t think of a SCOTUS decision in the last 50 years that has actually benefitted The People!)
He and his Dem-appointed colleagues have given huge new powers to corporations, and further reduced the rights of citizens. ...The so-called conservative Heritage Foundation is thrilled...HF is think tank for the Tea Party!
Any real reform — call it single payer,  — is doomed in bipartisan fashion because it is really the cheapest least bureaucratic, and most 'conservative' soluition to the HC problem.. So, The "pragmatists" who are for Obamacare are duped if they think it is going to be expanded to single payer. From this point on, it will only be picked over and further reinvented to empower the insurance and drug industries....and to empower them in or areas of SS privatization, Medicare dissolution, and war tax.....This decision also ups the anty on the 'class warfare divide and rule maxim--specifically pitting the old against the young.  And perhaps they had to enlist Roberts politically fearing too many Libertarian and Independents were drifting towards Dr. Paul and so had to round up these voters under Romney; only thing is Romney enterprises stand to make millions from this Obamacare deal.!!  .. Way to go....!!.. ::)

It is amazingly simple, for people to afford health care, and for it to have lower cost and greater availability,  people who now make a ton of money will have to make LESS. That means insurance companies, salesmen, advertisers , executives. I really don't expect a lot of progress until further technology advances in medicine occur that make diagnosis and treatment faster and cheaper. As an aside. the bulk of this issue will settle itself within the next 20-25 years as my generation has a massive die off and the median age drops dramatically. The other philosophical shift that needs to occur is that people have to face the fact you ARE going to die , dude, get over it. Just make sure you have lived before you do.
