Recently I purchased two S&W's strictly for thr purpose of conversions for different calibers.
One was a M586-2 .357 in a 4" barrel that was converted by Pinnacle to shoot 9x23----they also did a trigger job, trigger overtravel stop and smoothed and rounded the trigger.
I am happy with the work and the outcome. The overtravel stop on the trigger was an experiment as I really had no previous experience with this and was not sure if there would be any noticable difference in function.
The overtravel--for some may be a valuable thing---I can notice the difference but am not convinced that it is a valuable change--not a bad change, just, well, a change.
I really do like the conversion. I like the 9x23 a lot and I think that having it in a revolver is a good thing.
I got the Moom Clips from TK moon clips and like them a lot. I have moon clips from Ranch Products for a .45 S&W revolver and the TK's are superior to them for loading and unloading the moon clips.
It did take a year for Pinnacle to complete the work--due to some circumstances in the personal life of this one man shop. I was not particularly happy with the time, but, I suspose I must cut some slack for the timeing of events in this man's life which caused the delay.
I also have purchased an M16-4 in .32 mag. , 6" barrel, which went to Bowen to have the HAMMERDOWN treatement done---converted to shoot .327 magnum.
This work took about two weeks.
Bot weapons work and shoot flawlessly--accuracy (mine) is very good and i am please to have both guns converted---it is a good thing.
Blessings
