I'm completely ignorant on the secrets and policies of the Masons. In my ignorance, I always thought it was a cult. I still don't know what it is or what it means to be a member. Just one thing: It's difficult to imagine any non-military organization that has a secret or secrets that haven't leaked out. What would happen to a member if he blabbed? I saw a special on tv not long ago about this same topic. That programed seemed to reinforce that the Masons do in fact share a secret that they absolutely cannot reveal to any person. What's up with that? What kind of secret could they have that anyone gives a rat's ass about? I can believe they have a code, like the Boy Scouts, but I can't imagine that the code is of significance to any living creature. I think maybe they just like to say they have a secret, a special handshake, or some useless piece of knowledge that no one else has.
Again, excuse my ignorance. All the secrets of life I need are in the Bible. To look elsewhere for anything important or sacred is just silly, IMO. I've known lots of Masons. Never knew one I didn't like. Where I worked, it was unofficial fact that promotion depended on the applicant being a Mason. So, I do believe they have secrets, but again, how significant might they be? Are those who are not Masons missing some truth of life that will kill us? I think not. I say, dadburn all Masons. Is that offensive? What about dadburn all Exxon employees? Or dadburn all homosexuals? Or brick layers. Or any other group.
I like this place, where people like TM7 can say whatever they feel. In fact, how's this? In order to get into the Mason's you have to buy a specific ring and be gay and have secret underwear. Who says I can't say that. If you want a secret, we can make up a list.
