Harrington and Richardson .32 cal history
« on: June 09, 2012, 10:18:50 AM »
I am attempting to figure out a manufacturer's production date on this H&R .32 cal. I would like at the very least to replace the grips and put it away since it is a family heirloom. The information that I have read about it is so inconsistent that it could have been made on another planet. I have called H&R and they gave me a date around 1945 for production. Several sites state that if the barrel does not contain a caliber stamp it is pre 1905. Any solid information would be greatly appreciated.   I just recently was advised that this pistol was issued to my wifes great grand father during WWI. Not even sure if that is true.
