Does if anyone has any experience with this fine target caliber ??  Does JES offer this in a rebore/rechamber for the Handi ?  What would the best starting point barrel be ?  Just thinking about a poor man's Schtuzen....

You'd have to ask, but I don't think so, he doesn't show 8mm or .330" on his list. Neither 4D or Elk Ridge lists the chamber reamer for rent, so you'd have to buy a reamer if you want it done if you find someone that does that rebore.

Did something similar in 2005 using 32-40Win.  I won one awfhand match with it -using fixed cartridges.  Generally it runs around 2.5"-3" at 100 yards wth 25:1 flat-based lead bullets.  The extended scope rail serves as the engagement cleat for the breech-seater.
Daughter was born shortly after.  Then another one.  Now I'm other kinds of busy.  ;D

Hope this helps.
Just my Awf Hand comments...

I've been toying with the idea for some time now , even got the dies and made some brass & bullets for it , yet that's as far as I have gotten . Kinda got side tracked with other projects , hope to revisit it again this fall if nothing else pops up first , I also want to do a BC barrel in 577-450 Martini-Henry this fall .

It is pretty much a Germanic 32-40 (a friend has two original schuetzen rifles in it), so I dont see any downside to making yours in the 32-40 with much more affordable and available tooling and components, unless you have the money and 'just gotta'....
FWIW, and IMHO, the 30-30 makes an even 'better' schuetzen round; the bullet selection of cast .30 cal projectiles is way better. No slouch in the accuracy department and lots of data; .30 cal. barrels of your choice of weight are cheap and easy to get for a stub. Why stub a 30-30?, its that barrel length and weight thing for a target rifle; the stock H&R is just too short and light.
